On Wednesday, 28 July 2021, in the afternoon at 14:42, in Panevėžio district municipality, Ūtos village, on Baltijos Kelio street near No. 33, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF 105.460 registered in Poland, a trailer/semi-trailer > 10 t, a Volvo V90 registered in Estonia and a Volkswagen Jetta. Two people were injured — the 34-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (severely injured, hospitalized) and the 47-year-old driver of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the DAF (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
