On Tuesday, 3 August 2021, in the evening at around 17:00, in Panevėžys, on J. Tallat Kelpšos street, at the junction with Kęstučio street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot and a BMW. Two people were injured — the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient, had no driving licence) and a 17-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Peugeot (12 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
