On Friday, 13 August 2021, in the morning at 5:28, in Tauragės district municipality, on J. Tumo-Vaižganto street near No. 146, a Peugeot 307 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk and had no driving licence. A 35-year-old passenger of the Peugeot was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
