On Monday, 6 September 2021, in the evening at 17:06, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Normantų village, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 9), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a car and a Honda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of a car, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
