On Saturday, 11 September 2021, at night at 1:10, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 80), an Audi A4 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
