On Sunday, 12 September 2021, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šiauliai, on Architektų street near No. 42, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-3 and a Nissan X-Trail. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Saab, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
