On Friday, 15 October 2021, at night at 23:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 26.10), a BMW 330D rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.63‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
