On Thursday, 28 October 2021, in the afternoon at 15:16, in Vilnius, on Architektų street near No. 43, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 79-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (28 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
