On Saturday, 13 November 2021, in the evening at 20:30, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street, at the junction with Algirdo Juliaus Greimo street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota and a Mazda 5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Toyota, who failed to keep a safe distance. He evaded sobriety testing, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
