On Saturday, 13 November 2021, in the morning at 10:40, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 73.55), a head-on collision while overtaking occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf registered in Germany and a Suzuki SX 4. Two people died — the 62-year-old driver of the Suzuki and a 63-year-old passenger of the Suzuki. One person was injured — a 35-year-old passenger of the Suzuki (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.70‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
