On Saturday, 20 November 2021, in the evening at 19:30, in Plungės district municipality, on Medingėnų street near No. 19, a car ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of a car (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.26‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
