On Friday, 26 November 2021, in the morning at 8:30, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 89.90), a Volvo V40 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.90‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
