On Saturday, 27 November 2021, in the evening at 19:08, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius-Švenčionys-Zarasai national road (kilometre 24), a Volvo FH12 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the Volvo (33 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
