On Saturday, 27 November 2021, in the evening at 19:50, in Trakų district municipality, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with Gedimino street, a Lexus RX 350 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Lexus (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.94‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
