On Friday, 10 December 2021, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Panevėžys, on Klaipėdos street, at the junction with F. Vaitkaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Premium, a Krone, a BMW 3ER Reihe, a bus, a Volkswagen Golf, a Seat Altea and a truck. One person died — the 56-year-old driver of the Renault (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Renault (10 years of driving experience), who was taken ill at the wheel. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
