Volvo V70 hits a pedestrian at a crossing at Architektų g. and Žėručio g., Vilnius

On Friday, 17 December 2021, in the afternoon at 16:52, in Vilnius, on Architektų street, at the junction with Žėručio street, a Volvo V70 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 38-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volvo (9 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
