On Saturday, 18 December 2021, in the morning at around 5:00, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Ramonai–Alėjai regional road (kilometre 1.90), a Volvo V50 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Volvo (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.23‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
