On Sunday, 19 December 2021, in the evening at 20:05, in Vilniaus district municipality, Avižienių village, on Sudervės street, at the junction with Tulpių street, a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 12-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Jeep (34 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
