On Saturday, 25 December 2021, in the evening at 22:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vaišvydava–Gervėnupis regional road (kilometre 1.80), an Opel Corsa ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.14‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
