On Tuesday, 11 January 2022, in the evening at 17:30, in Vilnius, on Žemaitės street near No. 3, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 5ER Reihe and a Nissan Juke. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW (16 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
