On Friday, 21 January 2022, in the afternoon at 14:35, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 75.40), a Scania ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Scania (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
