On Saturday, 29 January 2022, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on Vilkaviškio street, at the junction with Tarpučių street, a Hyundai hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Hyundai (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.50‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
