On Tuesday, 15 February 2022, in the evening at 21:05, in Plungės district municipality, on J. Tumo-Vaižganto street, at the junction with A. Jucio street, a BMW 320 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
