On Monday, 21 February 2022, in the morning at 9:06, in Panevėžys, on A. Mackevičiaus street, at the junction with Vasario 16-osios street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
