On Monday, 28 February 2022, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Gergždelių village, on Topolių street near No. 1A, an Opel ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
