On Monday, 7 March 2022, in the afternoon at 14:48, in Rokiškio district municipality, on the Biržai–Pandėlys–Rokiškis national road (kilometre 62.68), a Volkswagen Bora hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.22‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
