On Tuesday, 8 March 2022, in the evening at around 17:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on Žeimių street near No. 3, a vehicle hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 12-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of a vehicle (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
