On Saturday, 19 March 2022, at night at 23:40, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on Darvino street near No. 44, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Audi (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
