On Tuesday, 29 March 2022, at night at 1:30, in Tauragės district municipality, on Bernotiškės street near No. 14A, a BMW 3er Reihe hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.32‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
