On Tuesday, 5 April 2022, in the morning at 6:15, in Vilnius, on Laisvės pr., at the junction with Viršuliškių street, a vehicle hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 45-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
