On Friday, 15 April 2022, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Lietuvininkų street near No. 2A, a BMW hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 18-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
