On Saturday, 16 April 2022, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Varputėnai–Krikliai–Juozapava regional road (kilometre 7), a Skoda Octavia rolled over. One person was injured — a 81-year-old passenger of the Skoda (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 79-year-old driver of the Skoda (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
