On Sunday, 24 April 2022, in the afternoon at 13:56, in Vilnius, on O. Milašiaus street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW, a Toyota Avensis and an Audi A4. Four people died — the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, a 19-year-old passenger of the BMW, a 19-year-old passenger of the BMW and a 21-year-old passenger of the BMW (later died from the injuries). One person was injured — the 35-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
