On Friday, 13 May 2022, in the evening at 18:30, in Kaunas, on P. Lukšio street near No. 29, a car hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 32-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of a car (16 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He was drunk (0.16‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
