On Monday, 16 May 2022, in the evening at 20:16, in Kaunas, on Didžioji street near No. 48, an Iveco hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 35-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Iveco (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
