On Tuesday, 24 May 2022, at night at around 23:00, in Joniškio district municipality, on Žemaičių street near No. 67, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Corolla and a Wielton. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Toyota. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
