On Saturday, 28 May 2022, at night at 3:34, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 4.36), a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.63‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
