On Saturday, 28 May 2022, in the evening at 20:10, in Šiauliai, on Radviliškio street near No. 98, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D and a BMW 5ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW 525 D (17 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.58‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
