On Monday, 30 May 2022, in the afternoon at 13:10, in Kaunas, on Skuodo street, at the junction with Pravieniškių street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a car and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of a car, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
