On Saturday, 25 June 2022, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Klaipėda, on Gedminų street near No. 2, at the junction with Naujakiemio street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Honda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Opel (18 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
