On Wednesday, 29 June 2022, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 520 and a Toyota RAV4. Two people were injured — the 70-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 59-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
