On Saturday, 2 July 2022, in the evening at 19:30, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Germaniškis national road (kilometre 20.60), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo B12 and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Volvo (27 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
