On Monday, 18 July 2022, in the evening at 18:20, in Pakruojo district municipality, Kalpokų village, on the Pakruojis–Linkuva national road (kilometre 13.60), a Volkswagen Golf rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.06‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
