On Saturday, 23 July 2022, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Birželio 23-iosios street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Nissan Qashqai. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (28 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.18‰ blood alcohol).
