On Saturday, 23 July 2022, in the evening at 19:45, in Kupiškio district municipality, on Panevėžio street near No. 3A, at the junction with Aukštaičių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Seat Toledo and an Audi Allroad. Three people were injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized), a 47-year-old passenger of the Seat (treated as an outpatient) and the 29-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Seat (24 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
