On Friday, 5 August 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Vilnius, on Garsioji street near No. 2, at a pedestrian crossing, an Opel Insignia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Opel (40 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
