On Tuesday, 23 August 2022, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 100), a collision while turning right occurred. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Volvo (39 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
