On Wednesday, 24 August 2022, in the afternoon at 11:48, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia regional road (kilometre 31.70), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Renault Master, a Fiat Ducato and a Nissan X-Trail registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Renault (20 years of driving experience). He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
