On Friday, 26 August 2022, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Panevėžio district municipality, Niaukonių village, on Dvaro street near No. 20, a moped ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 18-year-old driver of a moped (treated as an outpatient) and a 13-year-old passenger of a moped (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
