On Sunday, 28 August 2022, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Šilutės district municipality, Surinkiškių village, on the Žemaičių Naumiestis–Gardamas–Švėkšna regional road (kilometre 13), a BMW 330D ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized) and a 22-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). Both drivers were sober.
